East Africa’s face of football continues to change for the better after broadcast partners SuperSport and the Uganda Super League (USL) officially launched their online presence on Friday.
Their online launch in form of both internet (www.usl.ug) and mobile (mobi.usl.ug) sites preceded the day’s double header involving Police and Express plus KCC and SC Villa at Namboole Stadium.
They will complement the extensive television coverage of the league which is available to Dstv subscribers. SuperSport also runs the Kenya Premier League (KPL) website.
“This for us is a milestone,” said USL director Fred Muwema, “This will bridge the gap between USL and the public and we thank SuperSport for being active partners.”
All news, interviews, results, statistics, match previews and reports are updated on the site on the dot.
USL board chairman Julius Kavuma Kabenge said “ this is the only way to woo the new ICT age fans back to the stadium.”
“We thank SuperSport and as USL, nothing will stop us. This is just the beginning.”
SuperSport International Brand Manager(Africa) Itumeleng Senne said this is one of the many partnerships that will see Ugandan football grow.
